How To Make Yoga Work For You

The best way for a beginner to get started in yoga is to find a class or teacher who can effectively teach how to adapt, adjust, and PROGRESS one step at a time.

We like to think of yoga as a skill, much like playing the piano or cooking soup.

We don’t start in the middle; we start with the basics.

When I started yoga, there were no clear instructions.

I was told to just breathe and be mindful.

But that instruction was not useful.

If the goal of a yoga practice is to FEEL BETTER, we need step-by-step instructions on HOW to stretch, strengthen, mobilize, and use the breath.

That is what we cover in our classes, both online and in our Pacifica studio.

To build a sustainable yoga practice we need to build strength and mobility and body awareness.
